A remote area nurse who has worked across various parts of Australia credits a free peer-to-peer counselling service with saving his career during a difficult time. Dave Corstorphan, who has worked in Western Australia's north, including in the state's northernmost community Kalumburu, says he almost left the profession due to work stress and personal loss.
However, he found solace in the Nurse and Midwife Health Program Australia (NMHPA), a not-for-profit service that provides crucial support to nurses and midwives.
