A 79-year-old West Australian grandmother is facing a daunting $100,000 bill to return home after a horrific fall down stairs at a Bali restaurant left her with multiple broken bones.
Estelle Ravenscroft, from Western Australia, and her husband Keith are still in Bali, where Ms Ravenscroft is being treated in the intensive care unit at a local hospital after breaking both her legs in the fall.
The ordeal has been made worse by mounting medical expenses, as Ms Ravenscroft does not have insurance coverage. Her husband said it was difficult to obtain travel insurance due to their age.
