Man Shot in Perth's Hamilton Hill as Police Hunt for Two Suspects

According to police, the report of the incident was received at 4:35am, and St John WA provided emergency first aid to the man, who was found in the street with serious injuries. He was subsequently taken to Royal Perth Hospital, where his condition remains serious but stable.
Police have identified two males in black clothing who are believed to have been involved in the shooting and are still on the run. A thorough search of the area is currently underway, with forensic officers examining a related scene on Karda Way, around 200 metres north of Owen Place.
“Significant police resources have been deployed and are conducting a thorough search of the area,” police said in a statement. “Members of the public are asked to stay away from the area. ”
Local residents have described the scene as terrifying. India Forbes, a local woman, recounted hearing males yelling, followed by a gunshot early this morning.
“Just some yelling, a bit of commotion and a loud bang,” she said. “I wasn’t sure if I was dreaming or it was actually happening.”
Forbes also expressed concern for the families living in the area and those involved in the incident, saying “It’s terrifying. I feel for the families living close by and the families involved, it’s really upsetting.”
