A man in his 50s was rushed to Geraldton Hospital under priority one conditions after a shark attack at Glenfield Beach, north of Geraldton. The incident was reported at around 9:45am on Monday, with emergency services quickly responding to the scene.
A shark attack has left a man fighting for his life after being rushed to hospital north of Geraldton in Western Australia's Midwest region.
The incident occurred at Glenfield Beach, approximately 430 kilometres north of Perth, with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development confirming a report of a "shark incident" at around 9:45am on Monday.
Emergency Response
Fisheries officials were working closely with local authorities to respond to the situation. A spokesperson for St John Ambulance confirmed that one man, aged in his 50s, was taken to Geraldton Hospital under priority one conditions.
The ambulance service dispatched two vehicles to the beach at around 9:50am to treat the victim.
