Films like The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Wolf Creek, Red Dog, Mad Max, Babe, and Baz Luhrmann's Australia have showcased the outback to the world. Regional Australia has been key to the country's cinematic success.

Emerging filmmaker James Ivor from Far North Queensland believes the next box office hit for Australia could be created in the regions.
